Dear Mother
Your letter bearing date of Mch 20th is at hand. Enclosed found picture of Ames J. think - from picture he is a fine young man. We or rather our Division has received orders to have fifteen days rations to be ready to march at any moment, would say to what point, but dare not as clerks are supposed to know nothing of movements or orders until they are carried out. Not having time to write more I remain
